INEFI delivers mobile basketball court to young people in Los Restauradores neighborhood, in Azua

Azua. – The National Institute of Physical Education (INEFI), through its Athletes with INEFI program, delivered a mobile basketball court and sports equipment to young people in the Los Restauradores neighborhood, in the municipality of Azua, with the purpose of promoting the practice of sports and healthy recreation. The initiative seeks to positively impact children, adolescents, and young people in the community, promoting healthy lifestyles and integral development through physical activity. The delivery took place after a video spread on social media showed the need for sports spaces in the sector, which motivated INEFI to coordinate actions with the Regional Education 03, Azua, for the installation of the court.

By order of the general director of INEFI, Alberto Rodríguez, the event was headed by the person in charge of the Athletes with INEFI program, the high-performance athlete María García, national judo champion, who was accompanied by a commission from the institution to formalize the donation. During the activity, Professor Víctor Pérez, representing INEFI; the regional education advisor, Robert Brito; supervisors from the 03-01 Educational District of Azua, as well as students, teachers, and personalities linked to the area of Physical Education, were present. The community positively valued the initiative, highlighting its social and sporting impact on the sector.
