Measures for Holy Week 2026 seek to preserve lives and ensure that Dominican families enjoy in peace, says Faride Raful
Samaná. – The Minister of Interior and Police, Faride Raful, assured this Tuesday that the preventive measures adopted for Holy Week 2026 seek to safeguard Dominican families, preserve lives, and ensure that this holiday is enjoyed in peace.
Raful, along with the director general of the National Police, Major General Modesto Cruz Cruz, led a coordination meeting with local, provincial authorities and representatives of civil society in Las Terrenas. He indicated that it is a joint operation with the General Directorate of Traffic and Land Transportation Safety and the Ministry of Defense.
The minister explained that police presence will be reinforced at strategic points, including beaches, roads, commercial zones, and areas with high concentrations of people.
