The Minister of Finance and Economy, Magín Díaz, held a meeting with directors of the National Organization of Commercial Enterprises (ONEC), reaffirming his commitment to open management based on permanent dialogue with the productive sectors. In the meeting, key issues for strengthening the country’s fiscal and financial system were addressed, as well as the main needs of the sector. This approach is part of a series of meetings that the minister has initiated with key players in the economy, with the aim of listening, exchanging ideas, and building joint solutions. The ONEC representatives expressed their support for Díaz’s appointment, calling it a commitment to institutional strengthening, fiscal stability, and the continuity of public policies that promote sustainable development. They also expressed their full willingness to collaborate with the economic initiatives promoted by the Government. The delegation highlighted Minister Díaz’s extensive experience and background, which represents an opportunity to continue building trust and ensure efficiency in national economic management. The minister thanked for the support received and shared with the entrepreneurs the priorities and perspectives of his management, highlighting that it will be focused on active listening, the search for consensus and the articulation of public policies that promote economic growth with fiscal responsibility. “These conversation spaces are essential. We want to work hand in hand with all sectors that generate value for the economy. Dialogue will be the basis for building a modern, efficient, and sustainable fiscal policy,” said Díaz. The ONEC delegation was headed by Ernesto Martínez, president of ONEC, and comprised of Mario Lama, past president; Jennifer Troncoso, director; Dana Cabral, treasurer; Guillermo Prida, member; José Luis Magadán, member and past president, and César Tapia.
