Santo Domingo.– A motorcyclist died this Friday afternoon after being involved in a traffic accident with a cement mixer truck at kilometer 9 of the Duarte Highway, in the Santo Domingo–Cibao direction.
According to initial reports, the crash occurred in the express lane, near the Villa Marina sector. As a result of the impact, the motorcycle driver died at the scene.
Members of the General Directorate of Traffic and Land Transportation Safety (Digesett) arrived at the scene and worked on traffic regulation and assistance efforts due to the vehicular congestion caused by the incident.

Likewise, the arrival of personnel from the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif) was expected to carry out the removal of the body and begin the corresponding process.
The accident caused a prolonged traffic jam on the Duarte Highway, while authorities carried out scene response efforts and restored traffic flow on the road.
