Santo Domingo Este. – The National Police, through its Community Police Directorate, celebrated the graduation of 250 children and adolescents who completed the Community Youth Police Program, an initiative aimed at training in civic values, discipline, and social responsibility in vulnerable communities.
“This is an incredible activity by our director general of the National Police, Major General Ramón Guzmán Peralta. We are celebrating the seventh graduation of more than 200 youth police officers. This is a program where the police give training, discipline, and police training to children in the neighborhoods,” said Colonel Roberto Luis Lerebours García.
During the ceremony, Colonel Roberto Luis Lerebours García, director of the Community Police, urged the young people to maintain an ethical commitment to their communities and to become exemplary citizens.
“Keep working, fight for your dreams, respect mom and dad, and believe in God,” Lerebours García stated.
The graduates come from areas such as Los Mina, Mendoza and Ciudad Juan Bosch, and received training focused on respect, solidarity and community integration.
The event took place in the multipurpose hall of the Ramón Emilio Jiménez High School, in Los Mina Sur, and was attended by family members, local authorities, and community leaders.
