Santo Domingo. – Agents of the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM), in coordination with the Police Preventive, recovered a jeep denounced as stolen in the province of San Juan and arrested three men who were caught in the act while transporting the vehicle to the border with the intention of selling it.
The detainees are Nino Soto Reyes, 32 years old, who was driving the jeep; William Paulino de la Cruz, 43, and Elvis Daniel de Jesús, 48, all residents of Punta de Villa Mella, Santo Domingo Norte.
The recovered vehicle is a 2019 Honda CR-V EXL AWD, license plate G725433, reported stolen on September 21st of this year by its rightful owner, in the Los Frailes II sector, Santo Domingo Este. It should be noted that the license plate indicated the color green, while the SUV was recovered in black.
The course of the investigations led to the identification of two individuals involved in the theft and attempted commercialization of the vehicle, so the investigating agents are working on their location and capture.
The three apprehended individuals and the recovered vehicle were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry, through the Vehicle Recovery Division of Santo Domingo Este, for the corresponding legal purposes.
