Bayaguana.-Journalist Ramón Tolentino made a public call this Thursday to the police, military, and national security authorities to intervene in the municipality of Bayaguana and declare it in a state of emergency, given the alarming growth of organized crime in that demarcation.

Through his social media, Tolentino assured that he has information indicating that the alleged perpetrators of several criminal acts would be two Dominican citizens residing in New York, who would be sending packages to carry out robberies that have left fatalities, as well as express kidnappings.

In one of the paragraphs of his statement he expressed: “We have information that the alleged perpetrators of these crimes are two Dominicans residing in New York, who are sending packages to execute not only robberies that have caused deaths, but also express kidnappings. In the case of the robbery of Mr. Yibran Marrero, the intention was to kidnap him.”

It is recalled that days ago it was reported that a person identified as Rainidel, alias “Jordan”, was injured and had to be admitted to a health center, after the alleged victim’s vehicle hit him. According to reports, the individual, along with two other people, had shot at Marrero with the intention of perpetrating the criminal act.

Tolentino also stated that Bayaguana has become a hub for operations of criminal structures that not only carry out robberies and assaults, but also contract killings (sicariato) and express kidnappings.

Faced with this situation, community members have taken to the streets, holding vigils with lit candles to draw the attention of the authorities and demand decisive action against these gangs.

The communicator announced that more details about the alleged members of this criminal structure will be revealed in the coming hours.
