Singer-songwriter Noel Schajris will give his name to a scholarship for young musical talents from the Latin Grammys

Miami.- Mexican-Argentine singer-songwriter Noel Schajris, Latin Grammy winner, will sponsor a scholarship from the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation to support the development of young musical talents, the organization reported this Tuesday. The scholarship, which will be named ‘Noel Schajris Scholarship 2026’ next year, will allow the chosen one to obtain a bachelor’s degree at Berklee College of Music for the fall semester of 2026 and will include tuition, accommodation and other services worth up to $250,000, the Foundation indicated in a statement. “As a child, I dreamed of making a living from music. Life and the public have given me a career and the opportunity to express my soul through songs, and that enormous blessing translates into the opportunity for music lovers to enjoy that incredible experience,” said the singer-songwriter. Schajris has two Latin Grammy Awards for Best Pop Album as a member of the iconic duo Sin Bandera, which he founded in the 2000s with Mexican Leonel García.

Supporting Young Talents

Throughout his career, he has participated in mentoring programs for aspiring young artists and was one of the artists who was part of the Latin Grammy in the Schools project, which brings artists and established stars to high schools and universities in the United States for educational sessions. Schajris is not the first artist to receive a scholarship in their name. The Foundation previously created scholarships in honor of Celia Cruz, Kany García, or Manolo Díaz for their musical and professional careers. In total, the Foundation has awarded 477 scholarships with an investment of more than 12 million dollars in the last 11 years
