Santiago.- Three young people identified as alleged accomplices in the attack against the home of the mayor of Navarrete, Genrry Peralta, surrendered on Wednesday afternoon to the National Police to be investigated by the Public Ministry.
The detainees were identified as Ramón Emilio Gonzales Cabrera, Adelin José Núñez Guzmán, and Juan Martín Hernández Rosario, who were actively sought after the shooting that occurred against the residence of the municipal authority.
The delivery took place in the office of the regional director of the Police, General Juan Bautista Jiménez Reinoso, and was facilitated by the leaders of the Coalition of Social and Popular Organizations of the Cibao: Juan Compré (Guanchi), Osvaldo Brito and Bernardo Fernández.
The institution explained that the young people were being located through raids carried out in coordination with the Public Ministry, based on judicial orders AJ0079232 and AJ0079234-2025, in search of those responsible for the armed attack.
During the process, the popular leaders who accompanied the accused completely disassociated themselves from the event and assured that their participation was limited to ensuring a peaceful handover, reiterating that social organizations do not promote violent actions.
Authorities continue investigations to determine responsibilities and fully clarify the attack that has generated concern in the Navarrete community.
