Santo Domingo. – President Luis Abinader led a follow-up meeting this Tuesday on the ongoing actions to ensure an orderly and effective start to the school year 2025-2026, scheduled for next Monday, August 25.

In that sense, the Head of State highlighted that it is a priority of the Government that all children have a guaranteed place this coming school year and indicated that breakfast will be delivered to each student from the first day of classes.This with the aim of providing the necessary conditions for all students to be able to learn and grow in a safe environment.
Likewise, he stated that provinces such as La Altagracia, Santo Domingo and Santiago, and the municipality of Haina, in San Cristóbal, present challenges in terms of classroom availability due to their population growth.
