Abinader wakes up in Santiago and turns the city into the center of Government this Tuesday

Santiago.– President Luis Abinader woke up this Tuesday in Santiago, where he spent the night as president for the first time, and from this city he will carry out an intense workday with officials, businessmen, mayors, and representatives of strategic sectors.

The so-called “Government House” in Santiago will serve this Tuesday as the setting for an agenda that includes meetings on health, electricity, water, construction, production, and municipal affairs, reinforcing the president’s decision to move part of the presidential office to the Cibao region.

Abinader will begin his agenda at 10:00 a.m. with a meeting with health sector authorities, coordinated by the senator for the province of Santiago, Daniel Rivera, and the regional director of the National Health Service (Norcentral), Dr. Bernardo Hilario. One hour later, he will lead a meeting with the Electricity Cabinet to address issues related to the energy system.

At noon, the head of state will receive a commission from APROCOVICI, composed of 14 people and led by its president, Mario Bonilla.

After a private activity, at 2:30 in the afternoon, Abinader will hold a meeting with 16 executives from Amaprosan, while at 3:15 he will have another private meeting.

One of the most interesting meetings for Santiago is scheduled for 4:00 in the afternoon, when the president will meet with the mayors of the province’s municipalities, in a session that will bring together about 30 people and will be coordinated by Governor Rosa Santos.

The day will conclude at 5:30 in the afternoon with a meeting of the Water and Construction Cabinet, also at the residence where the president remains working.

With this agenda, Santiago not only hosts the president, but also becomes a focal point for government decisions this Tuesday, involving productive sectors, local authorities, and areas considered priorities for the region’s development.

Abinader’s presence in the city is part of his decision to temporarily work from Santiago, an initiative that seeks to bring the central government closer to the Cibao region and provide direct follow-up on projects and demands of the area.
