Haina.– Most citizens do not trust that the authorities acted correctly in the case of the tragedy that occurred at the Jet Set nightclub, according to a survey conducted by De Último Minuto in the municipality of Haina.
To the question “Do you consider that the authorities have acted correctly in the case of the tragedy of the Jet Set?”, the option “No” was the most voted.“Justice here never comes for those who have no power. It’s always the same, a lot of show, but in the end nothing changes,” expressed Johanna Martínez.
Other options included in the survey were “Yes”, “I don’t have an opinion”, and “I don’t care”, but none surpassed the level of rejection expressed by the majority of the participants.
“People are tired. We see cases like this, so delicate, and what we feel is that information is being manipulated. That’s why nobody believes anymore,” commented Julio Ferreras.

Two months after the tragedy, which still generates shock, has once again called into question the actions of the justice system in the country. Although investigations are ongoing, many citizens believe that transparency is not being upheld.
“I don’t expect anything. Here, justice is only for a few. Meanwhile, the victims are still waiting for answers,” said Mrs. Ramona Peña.
