President Abinader appoints Jorge Subero Isa as legal consultant to the Executive Branch

Santo Domingo, RD. – President Luis Abinader appointed Jorge Subero Isa as legal consultant to the Executive Branch, through Decree No. 1-26, as part of the actions aimed at institutional strengthening and guaranteeing constitutional coherence in Government decisions. With this designation, the Executive Branch places in the Legal Consultancy a figure of recognized trajectory in the judicial and academic field, responsible for providing direct legal advice to the Presidency of the Republic and ensuring the normative adequacy of the acts of the State.

Jorge Subero Isa was president of the Supreme Court of Justice and the Judicial Council for fourteen years, between 1997 and 2011, a period in which he led processes of modernization of the judicial system, promoted the strengthening of the judicial career and contributed to the independence of the Judiciary. In addition, he has served as a university professor, lecturer and author of various legal works, mainly in constitutional and administrative law.
