Santo Domingo. – The spokesperson for the Fuerza del Pueblo bench in the Chamber of Deputies, Rafael Castillo, declared that, with enthusiasm and a commitment to teamwork, he formalized his registration to be part of the Political Directorate of the party led by former President Leonel Fernández.
“Our organization takes a transcendental step in consolidating its internal democracy, opening up positions so that, democratically, all and each of the members can continue to grow and contribute from the different internal bodies that govern us. This has already been done in the Central Directorate, where members who make it up today were freely voted for. Now it is our turn, those of us who aspire to the Political Directorate, to submit to the will of our colleagues, so that together we can achieve the party objectives of bringing our party to power and contributing to the social transformation that the country needs,” Castillo expressed.
The deputy highlighted that, like any young organization, the Fuerza del Pueblo is giving clear evidence that, with discipline and democratic conscience, they are not only the leaders of the political opposition, but also the party that represents the paths of development of the Dominican Republic, under the leadership of President Leonel Fernández.
The new members of the Political Directorate of the Fuerza del Pueblo will be elected this Sunday, September 14, within the framework of the Manolo Tavárez Justo Electoral Congress.
Castillo, who leads the so-called green bank, indicated that valuable colleagues from the bloc of deputies also registered with him, which reflects the political commitment that each local leader maintains with his party.
