A South Carolina mother is accused of allowing men to sexually assault her two young daughters, ages 4 and 7, in exchange for money and illegal drugs.
Helena Nichole Hoyle, 27, of Bonneau, was arrested Friday and charged with two counts of trafficking and child neglect. According to investigators cited by the Post and Courier, the girls told police they had been repeatedly sexually assaulted by multiple unidentified men.
Authorities allege Hoyle exchanged her daughters for money and drugs. Investigators also reported that Hoyle was present during at least one alleged assault, while sitting on the floor and using her phone.
The children reportedly told investigators they were living in severe poverty and did not have running water at home, forcing them to use a bucket instead of a toilet. Hoyle was booked into the Berkeley County Jail, where her bail was set at $250,000.
