Colombia.- The Colombian presidential campaign entered a new stage after former president Álvaro Uribe Vélez visited lawyer and presidential candidate Abelardo De la Espriella at his residence and office located in the north of Barranquilla.
The meeting took place the day after the results of the first electoral round were known, generating expectation in different political sectors regarding the possible impact of this meeting on the landscape of the presidential race.
Images shared on social media show Uribe’s arrival at the location, where he was received by De la Espriella and several companions in a cordial atmosphere. Although no official details have been revealed so far regarding the topics discussed, analysts believe the meeting could be related to political strategies and alliances ahead of the next phase of the electoral process.
