Bruce Bochy will not continue as the club’s manager in the 2026 season, although he will remain in the organization as an advisor within the management.

Bruce Bochy is one of the best managers in baseball history and will always have a special place in the hearts of Rangers fans for bringing the first World Series title in franchise history in 2023,” said Chris Young, the team’s president of baseball operations. “We are grateful for everything he has given to the organization and we hope he continues to positively impact the Rangers for many more years.”
Bochy, 70 years old, took the reins of the Rangers in 2023 and in his first season guided the club to the
first World Series championship in its 63-year history. In three seasons at the helm, he recorded a mark of
249-237 (.512), a figure that places him sixth on the franchise’s historical list of victories.
In his extensive career of
28 seasons as a manager in MLB, Bochy has
2,252 wins, sixth on the all-time list. His teams have participated in nine postseasons, winning
four World Series titles (San Francisco Giants in 2010, 2012 and 2014; Texas Rangers in 2023), as well as five league pennants and six divisional titles.
In the playoffs, Bochy has
57 wins (4th in history) with a .606 percentage, surpassed only by legends like Joe McCarthy and Sparky Anderson among managers with at least five postseason appearances.
The former catcher, who played nine years in Major League Baseball before starting his coaching career in 1989, has already spent
51 seasons linked to professional baseball as a player, coach, manager, and executive.
With this change, the Rangers begin a new stage after a 2025 season of ups and downs and without making the playoffs, trusting that Bochy’s experience and vision from the management will continue to set the course of the organization.
