PUNTA CANA. The Latino Baseball Hall of Fame (LBHOF) announced a strategic alliance with Baseball Reference, the most consulted baseball statistics and history platform worldwide, with the goal of strengthening the transparency, credibility, and rigor of its election process.

As part of the agreement, Baseball Reference was designated as the Official Statistics Provider of the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame, becoming the official source for statistical research, historical verification, and support for the annual candidate eligibility processes.
The collaboration will allow evaluations of Latin American baseball players, managers, executives, and pioneers to be conducted with uniform criteria, supported by verified statistical records and exhaustive historical research.

The executive director of the LBHOF, Robinson Paredes, described the agreement as a transcendental step for the institution.
“Baseball Reference has become the gold standard for baseball research worldwide. Having them as our Official Statistics Provider strengthens our commitment to carrying out a transparent, objective, and history-backed election process,” he stated.
As part of the partnership, Baseball Reference will provide the official eligibility lists for the Contemporary Ballot and the Veterans Committee each year, in addition to contributing to institutional documentation and the preservation of the legacy of Latin American baseball.
The agreement also incorporates renowned researcher Adam Darowski, Senior Design Director at Sports Reference, who will represent Baseball Reference in the collaboration with the Hall of Fame and will join the LBHOF’s International Baseball Writers Circle with voting rights in the election of candidates for the Contemporary Ballot.

Darowski highlighted that the history of Latino baseball deserves greater dissemination and assured that the collaboration will allow for documenting the contributions of figures from different generations and countries in the region.
For his part, Paredes stated that Darowski’s experience and the backing of the Baseball Reference database will provide significant value to the selection process, further strengthening the integrity and international prestige of the Hall of Fame.
In addition to the election process, both organizations will explore new initiatives to preserve the historical heritage of Latin American baseball, develop educational resources, and expand public access to the history and achievements of the figures who have left their mark on this sport.
