Puerto Rico.- The Vaqueros de Bayamón made official the addition of Dominican shooting guard Jassel Pérez as the team’s new reinforcement for the final stretch of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) season.}

The team’s management reported that the player is already in Puerto Rico and will join the team’s practices immediately. His debut is scheduled for this Wednesday when the Vaqueros visit the Gigantes de Carolina-Canóvanas at the Carlos Miguel Mangual Coliseum.
“Jassel is a young, athletic player with a great hunger to compete. We understand that his energy, intensity, and ability to impact both sides of the court fit perfectly with the identity of the Vaqueros,” expressed the Bayamón management through a statement.
The arrival of the Dominican player comes after the departures of imports Jaylin Galloway and Xavier Cooks, moves with which the franchise seeks to strengthen its rotation ahead of the decisive phase of the tournament.
Pérez, 24, is part of the Dominican Republic national team and is coming off a stint with Covirán Granada in Spain’s Liga ACB, where he averaged 11.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game.
Currently, the Vaqueros occupy the second position in Conference A of the BSN with a record of 16 wins and 9 losses.
