CHIANG, MAI, THAILAND..- The “Queens of the Caribbean” Women’s National Volleyball Team, after winning the XXII Pan American Cup in Mexico several days ago, immediately traveled to Thailand where they are undergoing a training base in preparation for the World Volleyball Championship which will begin on the 22nd and is organized by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).

The Caribbean team, which is currently ranked 10th in the world, will play in Pool F and will debut next Saturday, August 23rd at 5:00 am, against the Colombian team, number 19 in the world ranking, whom they precisely defeated in the final of the last Pan American Cup, in Mexico.
The second match will be on Monday the 25th when the Queens of the Caribbean will face the Mexico team, number 24 in the world ranking, also at 5:00 am.
On Wednesday 27th, the current two-time champions of the Pan American Games will face the Chinese team, ranked number four worldwide, at 8:30 am. The Queens of the Caribbean are sponsored by the Ministry of Sports and Farmacias GBC.
The president of the National Volleyball Teams Project, Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz, Esq., and the general director, the immortal of Sport, Milagros Cabral, ex-captain of the Queens of the Caribbean, affirmed that the Dominicans, once again, will take to the court to give their best in each game.
“This is the eighth consecutive Women’s Volleyball World Championship that the Dominican Republic will be participating in, a streak that began in 1998 in Japan,” they added.
They stated that they then attended the World Cups of 2002, 2006, 2010, 2014, 2018, 2022 and now in 2025. The FIVB decided, from now on, to hold the World Cup every two years.
