São Paulo, Brazil. – Brazilian forward Neymar hinted this Saturday that the 2026 FIFA World Cup could represent his final participation in the most important tournament in international football.
The attacker reacted on social media to a FIFA post that reviewed different moments of his World Cup career, from Brazil 2014 to the present.
The post included photographs of Neymar in the 2014, 2018, and 2022 editions, accompanied by the message: “We have watched him grow up”. In response, the Brazilian wrote “The Last Dance”, a phrase that quickly sparked speculation about a possible retirement from the World Cups after the 2026 edition.
The expression refers to the famous documentary about Michael Jordan and the last championship won with the Chicago Bulls in the NBA.
