Santiago.- President Luis Abinader held a meeting this Saturday with community leaders from the various municipalities and sectors of Santiago, with whom he reviewed the main works being executed by the Government in the province and listened to the priority needs of the communities.
During the meeting, the leader reviewed with community representatives the progress of projects related to drinking water, road infrastructure, education, health, sports, and citizen security, as part of the Government’s follow-up on the investments it is developing in the province.
The head of state explained that community leaders from different localities participated in the meeting, who presented concerns and proposals regarding the needs of their sectors, allowing for a direct evaluation of the status of the works and pending projects.
The ruler described the meeting as very productive and announced that these types of meetings will continue to be held periodically to strengthen coordination between government institutions and communities.

At the meeting held at the governor’s office, the leader reiterated that his administration maintains the commitment to work hand in hand with the communities to identify priorities and ensure that the projects respond to the real needs of the population, promoting comprehensive development throughout the province of Santiago.
Council of Ministers
Likewise, the president reported that this Sunday he will lead a Council of Ministers in the auditorium of the Botanical Garden of Santiago, where an update on the government projects under execution and the actions planned to continue promoting the development of the province will be presented.
Drinking water and sport
As part of his agenda in Santiago, the president will also inaugurate a drinking water pumping station and the installation of the supply line in Villa Hortensia, and will put into operation the drinking water line that will benefit residents of the Las Mercedes neighborhood and Delio Reyes street.
Also, he will deliver the sports roofing of the Domingo Paulino Club (CDP), located in the Los Jardines sector, a project that will contribute to the strengthening of sports, recreational, and community activities in that area of the city.
The ministers of Public Works and Communications, Eduardo Estrella; Housing and Buildings, Victor -Ito- Bisonó; Sports and Recreation, Kelvin Cruz; Interior and Police, Faride Raful; Governor Rosa Santos; Senator Daniel Rivera; Mayor Ulises Rodríguez; the directors of the National Institute of Potable Water and Sewers, Wellington Arnaud; the National Health Insurance (SeNaSa), Eduard Guzmán; and the National Health Service, Julio Landrón, participated.
Like the other directors of the Santiago Aqueduct and Sewer Corporation (CORAASAN), Andrés Cueto; of Strategic and Special Projects of the Presidency (PROPEEP), Robert Polanco; of Inespre, David Herrera; of Social Assistance and Community Feeding (DASAC), Edgar Feliz; of State Land Titling, Duarte Méndez; and the presidents of the Presidential Commission for Neighborhood Development Support, Rolfi Rojas; Presidential Commission for Provincial Development Support, Ángel de la Cruz.
