Jarabacoa, DR. — An armored transport truck was involved in an accident this Monday afternoon on the Jarabacoa-La Vega highway, where one of the security guards was trapped inside the vehicle following the impact.
The incident occurred at kilometer 4 of that road, which prompted the mobilization of emergency teams that arrived at the scene to assist the occupants of the truck.
Members of the Buena Vista Fire Department carried out rescue efforts and managed to pull out the security guard who remained trapped in the back of the vehicle.
So far, the authorities have not reported the causes that led to the rollover, so the accident remains under investigation.
