On the other hand, at remittance and exchange agents, the dollar was quoted at a purchase rate of RD$58.61 and a selling rate of RD$59.78.

Compared to the previous day, the market showed minimal variations; in the case of financial entities, the purchase rate remained practically static (0.00% variation), while the selling rate reflected a slight depreciation of the peso of just 0.11%.

Despite the strength accumulated in 2026, the last month has shown slight upward pressure for the dollar. In the last 30 days, the peso has lost ground with a negative variation of between 1.20% and 1.34%

However, when comparing current figures with those from a year ago (July 2025), the Dominican peso continues to show a favorable position, with a year-on-year appreciation of 1.84% in the banks’ purchase rate.
