New York. – The Dominican Republic’s consul in New York, Jesús (Chu) Vásquez Martínez, highlighted the Third Banreservas Real Estate Fair as a key initiative to guarantee the diaspora a safe investment in the Dominican Republic, in the face of real estate scams recorded in the past. The official valued that the presence of recognized real estate developers in New York allows Dominicans to access reliable projects, with financing facilities offered by the Banco de Reservas.

“This is a great initiative and a great opportunity for Dominicans residing here and in nearby states to acquire housing with guarantee and security,” he expressed.

The fair, which takes place in New York from this Wednesday, March 18th to Friday the 20th on the 12th floor of the Radio Hotel and also in Lawrence, Massachusetts, is aimed at the diaspora interested in buying or investing in properties in the Dominican Republic, offering special credit conditions, competitive rates and support throughout the acquisition process.

The consul explained that previously many citizens tried to buy properties through unrecognized companies, which led to fraud situations. In that sense, he indicated that the consulate has promoted guidance actions, including forums on real estate scams and the elaboration of a guide to invest safely in the country. Likewise, Vásquez highlighted that they have consular staff dedicated to advising the Dominican community, with the aim of preventing new scams. He pointed out that the authorities have followed up on these cases, even achieving judicial convictions against those responsible for real estate fraud. The diplomatic representative emphasized that this fair constitutes a concrete response from the Dominican Government to this problem, by offering a reliable space where citizens can invest with institutional support. “This fair opens the opportunity for Dominicans to invest safely and buy their homes with confidence in the Dominican Republic,” he concluded.
