Santo Domingo – Within the framework of the XLIII Plenary Meeting of the Permanent Conference of Political Parties of Latin America and the Caribbean (COPPPAL), held in Mexico City, the prominent young Dominican diplomat and writer Juan Vargas Suárez was unanimously elected as the new Secretary General of COPPPAL Youth.
n” “nVargas Suárez’s election took place on June 30th during the regional plenary sessions, while the official swearing-in ceremony for the new authorities was held on July 1st, consolidating a space of strategic leadership for the Dominican Republic in international politics.
n” “nJuan Vargas assumes this high distinction backed by a solid academic and professional profile in the areas of law, civil engineering, and history. In the political-institutional sphere, he currently serves as Secretary of International Affairs for the Modern Revolutionary Youth (JRM), a position from which he has actively promoted the agenda of Dominican youth abroad and bilateral relations with political organizations throughout the region.
