Education Minister reinforces teaching of patriotism in schools through the National Anthem

Santo Domingo. – The Minister of Education, Luis Miguel de Camps, highlighted the importance of strengthening patriotic values in the classrooms through the raising of the flag and the singing of the National Anthem in the country’s public schools. During a visit to the Padre Arias School, in the Cristo Rey sector, the official participated in the civic act held every morning, where he shared with the students the pride of paying tribute to the national symbols.

“Few things inspire as much as seeing the little ones sing the anthem with pride. These moments show us that education is also about forming values and commitment to our community,” expressed the minister, underlining that sowing identity and respect for the homeland is as important as academic learning.
