Haitian arrested admitted he stole a gun and sold it for 20 thousand pesos in Santiago

Santo Domingo. – The National Police arrested the Haitian citizen Jean Monaude alias, “Rigo,” 44 years old, who during interrogation admitted to having stolen a Pietro Beretta brand pistol, 9mm caliber, serial number B28057Y and subsequently sold it for RD$20,000 to Mr. Cesarin Aneudys Báez Ulloa, who was also arrested for investigation purposes, in an event that occurred in Santiago de los Caballeros.

The case originated after the complaint filed by the citizen victim of the robbery, who reported that on September 3, unknown persons entered without using violence to his industrial workshop located in the center of Santiago and stole the weapon from his office.

Subsequently, a search was carried out at Báez Ulloa’s residence in the Nueva Luz de Rafey sector, where although the weapon was not recovered, he admitted to having bought it and given it to the mother of the first detainee. According to his statements, the gun was finally handed over voluntarily to the Public Ministry.
