Santo Domingo, R.D. – The hearing to determine coercive measures against Maribel and Antonio Espaillat, accused of their alleged involvement in the tragedy at the entertainment center Jet Set, was recessed for one hour this Wednesday at the Palacio de Justicia de Ciudad Nueva. The process, which began approximately 35 minutes ago, is still ongoing. During the break, the Espaillat brothers were moved to a waiting room, awaiting the resumption of the hearing.

The victims’ lawyers remain attentive to the development of the trial, awaiting the Public Ministry to conclude its intervention in order to then present their arguments before the court. It is expected that during the day the judge will decide whether to impose coercive measures or allow the accused to face the process in freedom. The hearing had been postponed last Sunday to give the defense time to study the file.
