Santo Domingo.- In statements offered outside the Housing Prosecutor’s Office, in Santo Domingo Este, the lawyers of Jorgina Lulú Guillermo Díaz, better known as Yailin La Más Viral, denounced alleged irregularities in the judicial process involving the artist, just as she was being transferred under police custody to the San Luis preventive prison.
The legal defense team composed of Jenry Romero, Randy Bank, and Josué García, asserted that the Public Ministry allegedly knows who the real person responsible for the firearms seized on Tuesday morning is, but that, even so, it has chosen to focus the process against their client for being
this public figure. According to them,
this responds to an attempt to damage the image of the urban interpreter.
Likewise, the jurists stated that the body has initiated an investigation process, of which, as they explained, various media outlets are already aware. However, they maintain that, despite the existence of key testimonies, including that of one of the detainees, the authorities would be ignoring elements that would favor their defendant.
“Greetings, gentlemen, an investigation process has already begun, as you know through the different media; however, it is important to point out that here they are simply attacking a figure, where the Public Ministry already has a preliminary investigation that knows who is responsible for the act they want to attribute to him,” the lawyers expressed to the press.
Finally, the legal representatives maintained that one of the people involved had been released, which, in their opinion, shows that the main objective of the case is to link the artist.
