Santo Domingo.– A court sentenced Oliver Terrero Lorenzo to 30 years in prison after finding him guilty of the murder of Juan Bautista Santana Trinidad, in an incident that occurred in the Lucerna sector, Santo Domingo East municipality.
The sentence was imposed after the Public Prosecutor’s Office demonstrated the criminal responsibility of the accused during the trial.
According to the file prepared by investigating prosecutor Henry Arias Guillén, the crime occurred on the night of March 24, 2024. According to the investigations, Terrero Lorenzo arrived at a grocery store accompanied by a woman and a child, where the victim was sharing with several friends.

The file states that the aggressor got out of a vehicle carrying a knife and, without saying a word, attacked Santana Trinidad, causing fatal wounds.
During the judicial process, the Public Prosecutor’s Office was represented by litigating prosecutor Ignacio Rojas, who presented the evidence that allowed the defendant’s guilt to be proven before the judges of the First Collegiate Court of Santo Domingo East.

The court determined that Terrero Lorenzo violated the provisions of articles 295, 296, 297, 302, and 304 of the Dominican Penal Code, for which it imposed the maximum sentence of 30 years in prison.
