Polo, Barahona. — Members of the Criminal Intelligence Sub-Directorate (DINTEL), attached to the Southern Regional Directorate of the National Police, in coordination with the Public Ministry and with the support of the Preventive Police, carried out several raids in the municipality of Polo, where two people were arrested and controlled substances and an illegal firearm were seized.
According to the preliminary report, in a first intervention, Algenis Medina Minyeety, alias “Peluca”, was arrested, and 972 grams of various controlled substances, presumably narcotics, were seized from him during a search carried out at his residence.
In a second operation, carried out in the “Cu” sector, Braudilio Ferreras Reyes was arrested, who was found with a 12-gauge shotgun, of illegible make and serial number, with six cartridges, without any type of documentation to support its legal possession or carrying.
In total, the authorities seized 973 grams of controlled substances and an illegal firearm, as a result of the operations carried out in the area.
