Susana Gatreau calls on institutions to act in the face of situation at Aerodom
Santo Domingo.– The Vice Minister of Energy and Mines, Susana Gatreau, spoke this Sunday about the situation recorded at Las Américas International Airport (AILA), pointing out that several state institutions must intervene in a coordinated manner to guarantee both the operability and the security of the air terminal.
Through his statements on the social network X, Gatreau indicated that the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, as the body in charge of the supervision and control of civil aviation, must assume an active role in this scenario. Likewise, he stressed the importance of the Ministry of Defense and the C5I, as it is a critical national security infrastructure.

The official also mentioned the Airport Department, in its capacity as the contracting and granting entity of the concession, which represents the Dominican State and administers the contract with Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (Aerodom).
