Santo Domingo.- The National Police reported that Jobel Alberto Peralta Corporán (a) “Bertico” surrendered voluntarily through his relatives. He was wanted for his alleged responsibility in the death of his romantic partner, Yarian Chami Cedano Cedano, in an incident that occurred in the Villa Cerro sector, in Higüey, La Altagracia.
The surrender took place in the San Pedro de Macorís province, where the defendant’s family members coordinated his presentation with the authorities.
Subsequently, Peralta Corporán was transferred to Higüey to continue with the investigative process and the corresponding legal procedures.
According to preliminary investigations, the victim died as a result of multiple stab wounds allegedly inflicted by Peralta Corporán, who was being sought through location efforts carried out by investigative agencies.

The National Police reiterated its commitment to clarifying criminal acts and announced that the detainee will be placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry for the corresponding legal purposes.
