Within the framework of IFTM Top Resa 2026, meetings have been held with investors with business intentions in the Dominican Republic for more than US$600 million dollars.

Among those projects, the ratification of an investment exceeding $100 million, belonging to the Matutes family’s business holding, stands out.

The Matutes are an important hotel family that operates in the hotel sector through Palladium Hotel Group (formerly Fiesta Hotel Group), managing nearly 40 4 and 5-star hotels around the world.

Likewise, the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, highlighted in this participation the development and growth of Miches as a tourist destination, where there are already more than 1,500 rooms in project.

Minister Collado closed his participation in this fair by presenting a new promotional campaign for the Dominican Republic aimed at the European market.

Before more than 200 tour operators and travel agents from France, the minister presented the audiovisuals for the campaign titled “Feel the Dominican Republic”.

The promotion was presented within the framework of the IFTM Top Resa 2026 tourism fair, which is held in Paris, in French, where the minister also promoted the conditions of emerging destinations such as Miches and others already consolidated such as Punta Cana and Bayahibe, which are attractive to French tourists.
