Trump receives the bodies of U.S. soldiers and promises to keep deaths “to a minimum”
Miami.- United States President Donald Trump received this Saturday the bodies of the six American soldiers who died in Kuwait due to the drone attack after promising to keep the deaths of national troops in the war against Iran to a “minimum”.
The president attended the dignified transfer ceremony of the bodies at Dover Air Base in Delaware, where he saluted each of the coffins of the military personnel covered with the United States flag, the only American victims after a week of the war’s beginning.
Trump stated in Miami, hours before attending the military tribute, that “it’s a very sad situation to greet the families of the heroes who are returning home from Iran in a different way than they thought they would return.”
«But they are great heroes in our country and we are going to keep it that way. When it comes to war, there is always that (deaths), we are going to keep it to a minimum», he pointed out in his speech to Latin American leaders at the ‘Shield of the Americas’ summit, which he left early to attend the ceremony.
