Santiago.- The Judiciary reported that 63.9% of judicial matters in the Santiago Judicial Department are filed through the portal justicia.gob.do, a percentage that shows the consolidation of the digital transformation and the growing adoption of digital services by users and operators of the justice system.
The growth in the use of the portal is recorded steadily across all subject matters. In the Civil jurisdiction, 90% of cases are received through this platform; in Land, 83%; in Labor, 74%; in Criminal, 62%; in Peace, 43%; and in the Children and Adolescents jurisdiction, 10%, data that show a positive trend in the incorporation of digital services.
As part of this strategy, the Judiciary continues the integration of institutions into the Digital Access Portal. In the Judicial Department of Santiago, comprised of the judicial districts of Santiago and Valverde, entities such as the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Public Defense of Santiago; the Regional Prosecutor’s Office; the City Hall; as well as the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Public Defense of Valverde were incorporated, strengthening interoperability between the institutions involved in the administration of justice.

This advancement reflects the institutional commitment to a more accessible, efficient, and citizen-friendly justice system by facilitating the submission of documents and the management of judicial processes without the need to physically visit judicial offices, reducing travel, optimizing time, ensuring traceability, and offering a more agile, secure, and efficient experience.
Justicia.gob.do is the Judiciary’s digital access platform that centralizes online judicial services and allows citizens, lawyers, and institutions to manage procedures, submit documents, track case files, and access other services in a secure and transparent manner, as part of the digital transformation process driven by the Justice of the Future 2034 Plan 2034.
