Witness is shot by hooded individuals in front of the SDE Courthouse; family accuses leader of the “Los Fantasmas” gang
Santo Domingo Este. – In an event that has generated alarm about security in the country’s judicial precincts, Brayan Juan Pablo Rosa, 30 years old, was seriously injured after receiving five shots this Tuesday from two hooded men outside the Palace of Justice of Santo Domingo Este.
The attack occurred around 1:50 p.m., during a recess of the court where Rosa serves as a witness in a case against an alleged Boca Chica kingpin, accused of directing criminal operations from prison.
According to the preliminary report, Rosa was walking down a side street of the building when she was surprised by the attackers. Twenty-five minutes later, she was transferred to a medical center, where she remains under strict police surveillance to ensure her safety.
Outside the health center, his mother, Belkis Rosa Franco, held the man known as “Guindo”, detained in New York and identified as the leader of the gang “Los Fantasmas”, a criminal structure operating in Boca Chica, responsible for the attack.
