Army detains 125 undocumented Haitians during operations in Constanza

La Vega. — The Dominican Republic Army (ERD), carried out several operations in the municipality of Constanza, as part of the permanent actions to strengthen security in the national territory. During the interventions, one hundred and 25 Haitian nationals in irregular migratory condition were arrested, of whom 83 are men, 28 women and 14 minors. In addition, five motorcycles were seized and fourteen bladed weapons were confiscated. Undocumented foreigners detained were handed over to the General Directorate of Migration (DGM), the institution in charge of the repatriation process to their country.

The Dominican Republic Army reported that the operations will continue, reaffirming its commitment to compliance with current laws.
