Santo Domingo.– Agents of the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) seized more than 10 kilos of presumably narcotic substances during a series of interventions carried out in different sectors of North Santo Domingo, the institution reported this Friday.
The actions included 84 operations and three home raids carried out in points considered strategic in that municipality, as part of a day coordinated by the Joint Task Force (FTC).
According to the preliminary report, during the interventions, 137 portions of a white powder, presumably cocaine, were confiscated, with an approximate weight of 8,925.5 grams.
Also, 287 wraps of alleged marijuana were seized, with a weight of 1,222 grams.
The sum of both amounts totals approximately 10,147.5 grams of substances, equivalent to a little over 10 kilos.

In addition to the alleged narcotics, authorities seized RD$7,630 in cash, four scales, and six cell phones.
The seized substances were sent to the corresponding agencies for the analyses that will officially determine their composition.
