Dr. José Joaquín Puello highlights the elegance and international level of the newly inaugurated Ciudad Sanitaria

SANTO DOMINGO.– The renowned Dominican neurosurgeon doctor José Joaquín Puello praised the quality and design of the facilities of the Ciudad Sanitaria Dra. Evangelina Rodríguez, highlighting that the hospital complex is at the level of the best medical centers in the world.

During an interview, Puello compared the infrastructure of the modern facility to internationally renowned hospitals such as Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Montefiore, and Johns Hopkins, noting that specialists from those institutions have visited the Dominican center and agreed on its high construction and equipment standards.

“The clinical-surgical hospital of the Ciudad Sanitaria has to be seen to be believed. I’m not talking about luxury, but elegance. The foreign doctors who visit it are impressed, to the point of recording videos because they know that, upon returning to the United States, many will not believe what they saw,” said the specialist. Puello also highlighted the work of the Minister of Housing and Buildings, Carlos Bonilla, responsible for the execution of the project, valuing his efficiency and commitment in a work of great impact for the Dominican health system. The Ciudad Sanitaria, considered one of the most important hospital infrastructure works in the country, seeks to strengthen specialized medical care and become a regional benchmark in high-complexity health services.
