Santo Domingo.– The girl who was swept away this Thursday by a ravine in the El Primaveral sector of Villa Mella, Santo Domingo Norte, was bathing during the downpour along with two other minors without adult supervision, according to the mayor of that demarcation, Betty Gerónimo.
The councilwoman specified that since 3 p.m. various authorities, including the Fire Department, have been deployed at the site to carry out the rescue efforts for the minor who was swept away by the rising of the river due to the heavy rains recorded this day.“Holding hands with God to be able to find the girl,” said Geronimo.

The fire chief reported that the ravine flows into the Yuca River, so the operation has been extended over more than a kilometer and a half.
