Santo Domingo.– Commentator Giulio Pelliccione stated that political leader Rafael Paz allegedly committed an act of “political betrayal” within the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), noting that he supposedly collaborated with the Public Prosecutor’s Office in a judicial process involving former official Fernando Rosa, who was subsequently acquitted by the courts.
According to Pelliccione, Paz’s performance in said process generated internal tensions within the political organization, as it was considered that his participation as a collaborator in the case had repercussions on the development of the judicial file.

“He is one of the first to betray that privilege… And that stupidity they committed in the PL by giving him a candidacy over Roberto Salcedo,” Pelliccione expressed during his intervention in the digital space, when referring to the party’s internal decisions.
The communicator also maintained that, in his view, Rafael Paz’s departure from the PLD was linked to that episode, which he described as a break with the party structure and its internal principles.
Likewise, Pelliccione stated that the leader has been the subject of questioning in different political sectors, noting that even within other organizations there would be reservations about his eventual political participation.
