Santiago.– The National Police urged Erinson Manuel Hernández Reyes, alias “El Gordo”, this Monday to turn himself in through the means he considers appropriate to answer to justice for his alleged involvement in the shooting death of Danny Acevedo Mota, known as “El Mono”, which occurred in front of a park in the Ensanche Bolívar sector, in this city.
According to investigations conducted by police officers in coordination with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the incident occurred on July 12, 2026, during an armed confrontation that, according to authorities, originated from personal conflicts between the victim and the now-fugitive.
Acevedo Mota suffered multiple gunshot wounds and passed away while receiving medical attention at a health center, despite the efforts of the medical staff to save his life.
The institution reported that it maintains an active search for Hernández Reyes to execute arrest warrant No. 2026-AJ0060451, issued against him, and to place him at the disposal of the Public Ministry for the corresponding legal purposes.
