Warning about danger due to a traffic sign at kilometer 9 of the Duarte highway

Santo Domingo, R.D. – The communicator and lawyer Dary Terrero warned this Friday about the high risk that the placement of a Obstacle Mark traffic sign poses to drivers at kilometer 9 of the Duarte highway. According to what was explained, said signal, accompanied by a wall of more than 10 centimeters above the pavement, could cause traffic accidents with fatal consequences, in addition to causing considerable damage to the vehicles that travel through the area.

Terrero recalled that Law 63-17 on Mobility, Transit, Land Transportation and Road Safety establishes the regulations that must be complied with in terms of signage, which is why he considers that the installation in question fails to comply with road safety parameters. In that regard, he urged the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) to notify the company responsible for the work to immediately remove the sign and proceed with the demolition of the wall.
