The Dominican Accreditation Body (ODAC) accredited the company MARIDOM as an inspection body in accordance with the NORDOM ISO/IEC 17020:2012 standard, a certification that strengthens the technical controls in the inspection of goods and provides greater reliability to the country’s logistics chain.
The accreditation validates MARIDOM’s competence to inspect isotanks used in the transportation of food-grade and chemical products, segments where compliance with international standards is crucial to ensure the safety, traceability, and acceptance of goods.
This type of certification gains relevance in sectors that require high levels of technical control, as it helps reduce operational risks, avoid rework, and facilitate compliance with trade requirements, factors that affect the country’s logistics efficiency.
The CEO of ODAC, Ángel David Taveras Difo, pointed out that this accreditation strengthens the quality infrastructure and supports inspection services with technically reliable results.
“Accreditation guarantees that processes are executed under validated criteria, which reduces uncertainty in operations and generates greater confidence in the results, both locally and in international trade,” said Taveras Difo.

The ODAC highlighted that the inspections carried out by accredited bodies are supported by evaluated processes and qualified personnel, which contributes to improving operational efficiency and reducing risks in the handling of goods.
With this accreditation, MARIDOM joins the group of organizations that operate under international standards, strengthening the Dominican Quality System and its contribution to trade and industry.
