Bogotá.– The Colombian justice system ordered presidential candidate Abelardo de la Espriella to refrain from using the Colombia National Team jersey in his electoral campaign, after admitting a guardianship action (tutela) that questions the use of the sports symbol for proselytizing purposes, as reported by Infobae.
The decision was adopted provisionally by a court in Bogota, which determined that the use of the garment in political activities could violate principles such as equality and neutrality in the electoral process.
