Santo Domingo, D.N. – Juan Núñez Nepomuceno was re-elected this Monday as president of the Dominican Baseball Federation (Fedom) for the 2026-2030 term, after receiving unanimous support from the affiliated associations during the elective assembly held at a hotel in the capital.
Núñez headed the only list presented, called “Tito Pereyra, Work, Transparency and Consolidation”, which obtained 100% of the votes cast by the 31 associations present out of the 32 with the right to vote.
The federation leader expressed his gratitude for the support received and valued the trust placed in his management at the head of the Dominican amateur baseball governing body.
“We feel deeply grateful to God and to each of the associations that supported us unanimously today. This vote of confidence commits us to continue working even harder for the development and strengthening of Dominican baseball,” expressed Núñez after being sworn in.

Likewise, he highlighted that the support received represents recognition for the work carried out over the last few years.
“The associations have valued the effort, dedication, and transparency with which we have managed the federation. We will continue to promote initiatives for the benefit of our athletes, coaches, and leaders,” he added.
The electoral commission was chaired by William Ozuna, head of the Dominican Weightlifting Federation, accompanied by Edisson Adames, president of the La Vega Sports Journalists Association, as secretary, and Gilberto García, president of the Dominican Judo Federation, as a member.
The organization certified the legality of the process and proceeded with the swearing-in of the new executive committee.
In addition to Núñez as president, the Fedom executive committee was composed of Joselito Canó Soriano, first vice president; Roberto Antonio Sánchez Morales, second vice president; Julián Antonio De León, third vice president; Heriberto Antonio Miranda Then, secretary general; and Arturo Brito, treasurer.
Also part of the board are Bruno Inocencio Terrero Medrano, secretary of international affairs; José Alfonso Sena Gómez, secretary of organization; Víctor Enrique Vásquez, secretary of the environment; and Eligna Raquel Rodríguez Peña de Ortega, secretary for women’s affairs.
The board members will be Sandy Lara Pérez, Mónica Cecilia Fernández Liz, and Eduardo Rodolfo Phipps Cruz.
During the day, the regional vice presidents Cristian Pimentel (Metropolitan), Jorge Francisco Rafael Moreno (East), Alnor Teófilo Padilla Taveras (North), Jesús Antonio Lajara Rosó (South), and Manuel Antonio Medina Rodríguez (Overseas) were also ratified.
This will be the second full term for Juan Núñez at the head of Fedom, an institution he has presided over since May 2019, following the passing of leader Héctor “Tito” Pereyra.
