The Dominican slugger hit a two-run home run in the second inning, contributing to an eight-run rally in that episode that set the course of the game. Guerrero Jr. finished the night 4-1, with one run scored and two RBIs, reaffirming his presence as one of the most feared bats on the Canadian team.

In addition to Guerrero, Ernie Clement shone, who hit a home run and drove in five runs, and Bo Bichette, who also hit a home run and drove in three runs.

On the mound, Puerto Rican José Berríos (2-2) led a combined effort with two relievers to limit the Athletics to only four hits, thus achieving the team’s fourth shutout since May 20th.

The Blue Jays (record to be confirmed) continue to add victories while Oakland is going through a tough streak of 14 losses in their last 15 games, being outscored 117-44 in that period.

For the Blue Jays, Dominicans Jonatan Clase also stood out, who went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, and Guerrero Jr. with his explosive two-run hit.
