Dominican Embassy in Brazil welcomes the Queens of the Caribbean during their participation in the Nations League

Brasilia, Brazil. The Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Brazil offered a warm welcome to the Women’s National Volleyball Team, the renowned Queens of the Caribbean, who are in the Brazilian capital to compete in the Women’s Volleyball Nations League (VNL), one of the most important tournaments on the international calendar for this sport.

The activity was led by the Dominican ambassador to Brazil, Robert Takata, who welcomed the delegation and highlighted the pride it represents for the country to have a team that has taken the national flag to the highest stages of world volleyball.

During the meeting, the diplomat highlighted the trajectory, discipline, and commitment of the athletes, describing them as an example of perseverance, excellence, and national pride for present and future generations of Dominicans.

In recognition of their outstanding career and contributions to national sports, the diplomatic mission presented a special distinction to the national team. The recognition was received by the team captain, Brayelin Martínez, who thanked the embassy for the gesture and reaffirmed the players’ commitment to continue representing the Dominican Republic with dignity in every international competition.

The Women’s Volleyball Nations League brings together the best national teams in the world every year in a demanding competition organized by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), considered one of the main showcases for women’s volleyball and a key preparation platform for world championships and Olympic Games.
